ALERT JUNK MAIL: EXISTENCE IS A REASON

Junk mail, here I mean, is in a broad sense, including the advertisements you do not want to see, the disgusting erotica, the virus you hate and fear.

Lots of new figures appeared in today’s news: an updated research report, issued by Message Labs, an authorized British Email Safety company, revealed that the amount of junk mails had increased to more than half of the total emails, and the number of erotic emails even went up 4 times during only 30 days!

Among 156.6 million emails of this July, inspected by this company, 79.7 million junk emails had been intercepted successfully.  However, this figure of junk mails was 10 million higher than that of the whole year of 2002.

In the mean while, the erotic emails had increased 4 times these two months.  It’s really a waste of net resources, no matter you access it or not.

“Technology is the primary productivity”, said Comrade Xiao Ping.  The dogged existence of junk mails has re-verified this wisdom.

Rome is not built up in one day.  The junk arose people’s watchfulness only after they become a certain size.  While when we find the situation is bad, this issue has become a hot potato.

The world try hard to get rid of or relax the flooding of junk mails, meanwhile the junk are more and more, just like flies.

We keep trying to work on the junk mails. Virus killer software emerge in endlessly; fireproofing wall sometimes disable ourselves to access some websites; our frail nerve become even more sensitive and scary when receive strange emails.

As a theory pursuer of “existence is with a reason”, I have to explain this bad situation:

Once the development of technology is over fast, there is always accompanying some abnormal offspring, such as junk mails and virus.  If we try to look at them from a historical height, maybe we could find out and confess the rationality and inevitability of their existence. 

Anyway these junk can push the technology development from con-direction, as a dogged bug growing with the network, virus has been challenging the fields of technology and legislation.  If one day both fields are developed perfectly to control the junk mails, I believe then the social culture should have strode forward a lot.
