Shum founded Onpress 10 years ago and expanded this
recruitment and pharmaceutical services business from a
one-man band to 15 staff with 3 offices in Beijing,
Shanghai and Hong Kong.
He
is a master¡¯ s graduate in biochemistry and MBA from
Sydney Australia, has worked for many well known
multinational companies in senior management roles, and is
a popular speaker and writer on China, recruitment and
pharmaceutical issues in international forums.
He
has recruited many senior managers and technical
specialists across many industries in China and Asia.

Leo Lee, has left Shanghai Roche where he was the Deputy
General Manager
- Dr.
SU Ling, Ph.D., previously Associate Medical Director of MSD
China, is now an International Business Development Manager
for Shanghai Roche, and based in Shanghai
- Mr.
WANG Biao, has left AstraZeneca, where he was the External
Affairs Director
- Allergan
has recently ¡°sold¡± it eye-care business to its
distributor, Shanghai Zuellig & Woo Pharmaceutical Service
Co. Ltd.
- Galderma
China has appointed Profex Inc. to market its dermatology
products, and has significantly downsize its operations in
Beijing
- Mr.
Neil Ferguson has been promoted to the position of VP, Sales
& Operations for Innovex North America, to be based in New
Jersey; Neil will be replaced by Ms. Catherine Day as General
Manager for Quintiles Greater China
- Dr.
Rose Qiu, Ph. D., has returned to Xian-Janssen China, after
one year sabbatical working in Janssen Canada, as the Clinical
Research Manager at Beijing
- Mr.
Douglas Cheung has moved to MSD Thailand; he was previously
Managing Director, MSD China
- Ms.
Lily Liang has joined Fournier Beijing as the Regulatory
Affairs Manager; Ms. Liang held a similar position previously
at Takeda Beijing
- Mr.
Douglas Lim is now the Marketing Director of Shanghai Sankyo
Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd.; he was previously at MSD China
- Mr.
Lawrence Woo, will retire in early 2004 as the President &
Managing Director, of Wyeth Greater China
- Ms.
LIU Yan, previously of Xian-Janssen Beijing, has been
relocated to take up a sales & marketing position in
Johnson & Johnson Hong Kong
- Mr.
James Ho, previously of Shenyang and USA, has taken up a
position as a Director of China Resources, Hong Kong, looking
after their medical business
- Ms.
Helen Mo has taken up a position at the Regulatory Affairs
Department at Aventis Pasteur
