As
introduced in my previous article Career Development Perspectives –
Individual Consulting Service in Onpress in Onpress Newsletter Issue 3,
we’ve launched a new project: a project to look at things from the
candidates’ perspective, in helping them with ideas on a career development.
In this article, I’d like to analyze the impact of this project on our
clients/potential clients. Firstly,
please allow me to brief you about the project: we send out, by mail and e-mail,
a quarterly broadcast of at least 40 available candidates; without identifying
the candidate, we list each candidate’s qualifications, experience and
operating strengths and weaknesses, and suggest what type and level of positions
should each candidate be considered; and indicate that the prospective employer
will pay us a fee in cash equivalent to 20% of the appointee’s first annual
cash compensation, or a minimum professional fee of Rmb60K per head, if and only
if any candidate is hired, and otherwise there is no employment or recruitment
cost involved. Up to now,
we have sent out 2 broadcasts. The
feedback is really positive: many companies come to us, stating their interest
in this new method of recruiting and in many of our candidates. This also leads to a discussion of which way is better to
them, the new one or the traditional way of executive search. Listed below is a table of the comparison of the pros and cons:
Please
consider the above comparisons, and you can decide which method will satisfy
your recruitment needs better. The Onpress candidate broadcast is available on the Onpress company website of www.onpressint.com. Any application for the receipt of these broadcasts by e-mail or mailing of the materials should be addressed to Ms. Diana Shen at 021-6219 8417 or dshen@onpressint.com; for candidates who wish to be enrolled in our broadcasting (after the stringent personal interviews), please also contact Diana Shen for more information.
