The period from October 2003 to July 2005 is entitled the "China-France Culture Year" (Les Annees Chine-France). The Chinese Culture Year has already closed successfully in France in 2004, and the French Culture Year is underway in China now. Not only can we feel the particular artistic style of France, but we also benefit from the latent business opportunities. President Jacques Chirac has said that he would be using the China-France Culture Year as a turning point, and would increase the amounts of investments in China. In accordance with the President's remarks, 28 new projects had already been signed between China and France; these projects were in the fields of nuclear energy, new energy, life sciences, manufacturing, etc. To-date, there are approx. 3,700 French companies in China, distributed in automotive manufacturing, transportation, heavy industry, chemicals, information technology, communications, architectural materials, energy, electrical power, environmental protection, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, etc. There are also 1,450 French companies setting up their branch companies or representative offices in Beijing. President Chirac forecasted optimistically that the number of French companies could be increased from 3,700 to 7,000 before 2007; more and more French companies will get to know China better via the China-France Culture Year, and most of these companies plan to invest in China, or have their Representative Offices in Asia established in China. Just imagine: 3,700 French companies already in China, plus 3,000 more new French companies are planning to invest in China. That's a huge potential market! Onpress discovered this latent business opportunity promptly. We're in the process of setting up a "French Division" rapidly in order to provide better service to these French companies. At Onpress International, we think that good talents who are familiar about the Chinese situation, some of these candidates had studied abroad, can communicate in both English and French and will therefore help the French companies run their businesses more efficiently and profitably in China. Onpress has over 10 years' professional experiences in the recruitment field and in HR services in China and Asia. We can speak the local language, possess the local cultural knowledge, have extensive market experience and management expertise, and is in a position to assist the multinational companies to find local talents and managers. Given our experiences, we know how to serve the French companies well, as we know the French culture and the French working style. A very important point is that we have plenty of candidates; many of these candidates are working or used to be work in French companies, and some can even speak French. Additionally, we have built up a special team for the French Division; most of the consultants in this French Division can speak French and are experienced in serving French companies. Due to this unique advantage, Onpress believes that it can provide the best recruitment and HR services to the French companies. And, of course, we do provide special discounts to French companies.
